A typical Indian wedding hosts hundreds of guests over multiple days. It is a norm to provide bottled water (served in plastic water bottles). Imagine how many plastic would be used when you are looking when wedding celebration spreads to serving nearly two thousand guests! Add to this when you send thousand paper invitations – and amount of paper used!

In the spirit of our social responsibility to reduce plastic and paper usage, Lets Do Our Part’s patron and committee member, Ramani Nagaratnam, decided to go with an eco-friendly wedding for his daughter during summer 2022! Only digital images sent over WhatsApp. No plastic bottles provided during the events. Thus we believe we saved numerous trees and prevented ecosystem damage due to plastics. Imagine a world where many such events become ecofriendly!
